I'M BACK~
This drama had ended for a few weeks(?) ago but I only had time now to write this post...죄송합니다...ㅠㅠ...🙏🙏

The synopsis I saw for this drama was basically about a women who wants to be a mother but she has to find her other half in order to fulfill her lifelong dream.

What drew me in before the synopsis was Jang Na-Ra and Jung Gun-Joo.
In this drama, Jang Na-Ra plays Jang Ha-Ri while Jung Gun-Joo plays Choi Kang Eu Ddeum.
Jang Na-Ra is a very well known actress that has been in this field for almost 2 decades. I was introduced to her in her previous drama titled 'VIP'. It's a very political and heavy drama based around the affair of the husband. Not all may find this drama enjoyable as it is very specifically focused on a few of the heavy topics.
Jung Gun-Joo is a new actor debuted in 2018 and he was in a very well known recent drama titled 'Extraordinary You' as one of the main (second lead) cast. Extraordinary is an EXTREMELY CUTE AND ROMANTIC drama that will get you falling for all their main cast 😍😍😍. I would highly recommend you to watch it!

At one point of the drama, I really shipped this combo because the character of Choi Kang Eu Ddeum is such a kind sweetheart 🥺❤. Although he is VERY VERY BLUR, SUPER NAIVE and has 0 ability of reading social queues and signs, he is a hardworking and responsible guy. To propose (his intention), he got the info that she likes a specific expensive ring (in actual fact was Park Soo-Young's preference lmao...the miscommunication between this 2 is gold) 😂. He calculated specifically and saved up as much as possible to be able to afford the ring in the shortest time possible.
If you don't see this as a cutesy romantic gesture...I feel bad for you...ITS A JOKE. But in all honesty, to me, I have never seen a guy this kind and hardworking in real life (at least until as I write this post) except for my dad 👨🦰.

Park Byung-Eun plays Yoon Jae-Young, Ha-Ri's childhood best friend. If you are wondering why is this face so familiar 🤔, then it is probably because you have seen him as a side or minor character in his previous works. That was the case for me hahahahahahaha
The chemistry between this 2 characters was great but I have never ship this combo. Ha-Ri and Jae-Young showcased their hilarious friendship by caring and teasing each other. However, as the story progress, it is so obvious that Jae-Young loves Ha-Ri as more than just friends but Ha-Ri does not see him the same way. More back story reveals both their past and you can see this combo unfortunately will never turn reality.
Honestly, I do feel quite sad for Jae-Young because not only he has to deal with his ex-wife, he has now realised a new problem which was his true feelings for Ha-Ri. To those wondering, he did manage to draw a line between both of them because Ha-Ri means so much to him as a friend he does not want to lose. As a true friend, he also know deep down of the fact Ha-Ri will never see him romantically and has already head over heels for Han Yi-Sang.

Go Joon plays Han Yi-Sang as Ha-Ri's love. After a few episodes, I could see that Yi-Sang would eventually be the guy for Ha-Ri. Okay...so...personally...PERSONALLY...he did not appear very like-able to me BUT he did grow on me over time!
There were so cute together in the first quarter of the drama when they were still getting to know each other FORCEFULLY through multiple EMBARRASSING situations 🤦♀️🤦♂️. As cliche as it is, they started out as low key disliking each other and eventually both started growing and developing feelings for each other.
❗❕FUN FACT❗❕
Did you know he was the leader of the evil gang in the movie 'Midnight Runners?' (the main actors are Kang Ha-Neul and Park Seo-Jun if you don't know). HE LOOKS SO DIFFERENT??????? I WAS SO SHOCKED WHEN I FOUND OUT LMAO 💫 Go and watch the movie and let me know if you managed to find the character I was referring to/see the resemblance 😚.

This drama is SUPER DUPER HILARIOUS in the first few weeks. I remember having the thought that this is a super great comedy drama.
Jokes on me because after the few weeks of laughs, I was slapped by reality based scenes that was sad and reminded me that it is never simple to live the life you design because life will always hit you with challenges after challenges.

I like how this drama also talks about equality to working mothers in the working industry as well as the restricted stereotype of 'mother' we all grow up to.
Women are expected to immediately focus 100% on their career and the company after their maternity leave. If not, they are expected to resign and just focus on their child. It is upsetting to see how close minded the society is. YES, I am referring to this real life society we are all living at this moment. I am aware that not all countries are tied to this stereotype. Focusing on the majority that is still stuck on this mindset, IT IS ABOUT TIME WE MOVE PAST THIS STUPID 'LOGIC'. Stop making mother(s) or mother(s) to be chose between their careers or child! It's both the female and male's decision to conceive a child, hence, stop turning the situation into a 'female supposed to be responsible for it' because that's totally 💩.

It is an understood norm that a female and male should be wedded before the child topic comes about.
This is another stereotype that should be removed. All the mothers subscribed to the baby magazine protested when they found out that Ha-RI, an unwed women, wanted to conceive a child of her own. It is upsetting because who says a single mother can't raise a kid? Of course, the concerns of the mothers were not all wrong either. It might be harder for the single mother to raise the child on her own which may end up hurting the child in a long run be it physically or mentally. There reasons mentioned by the mothers revolting against Ha-Ri were valid, however, this actions also portrays the stereotype that single mother(s) should not exist. I believe as long as you are fully responsible for both your actions and the child, no one should have another say to it.

Who says a male can't raise their child??
Another stereotypical topic touched on in this drama is a single father, Jae-Young. Although he has to raise his child alone after his ex-wife left both him and the child, he takes up the challenge and takes good care of his daughter. He did a very good job in bringing her up and at the same time resuming his career a while after that. This tells us that single fathers DOES exists and not only single mothers. A single father (or mother) can also raise a child as good as a father and mother combine raising a kid.

What is the worse that can happen right? WRONG.
For both Ha-Ri and Yi-Sang, problems after problems stumbled upon them and tested their relationship and faith towards each other. With Yi-Sang being infertile (combo together with a bad past because of his infertility) and Ha-Ri who is running out of time, lower percentage to be able to conceive, has to undergo surgery ASAP which will lower the chances to conceive even more AND also wants a child so desperately. If this does not signal you that it is bad news, I don't know what should.
But I love the fact that both of them eventually learn to accept and get through it together. It was hard but worth it because of their love and trust they have towards each other (eventually). It was a lot of work, arguments, uncomfortable talks, communication and the will to keep trying. This very much applies to real life as well. Not only for romantic relationship, this also applies to friendship or family-relationship.

THIS SCENE GOT ME CRINGING FROM MY HAIR TO MY TOE NAILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If this happened to me IRL and I happened to like this guys back, man oh man, I think I will faint because I would be too happy lmao.

I am happy that this is a happy ending FOR ALL the main characters. It is now hard to find a drama that shows a proper scripted ending, be it good or bad. Most drama now leave the ending open for viewer's depiction, which sucks because I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED instead of using my brain to think 😴
Even for drama who shows a proper closing for the 2 main characters, sometimes they don't show you what happened to the rest of the main cast. LIKE....BRUH....I am invested in this drama and all the main cast, please don't leave me hanging like this 😰
*BONUS PICTURE TO MY SHIP-BUT-NO-SHIP COMBO 💔*

It is so funny to see Ha-Ri thinking about the possible sperms and their characteristics which just makes the situation and atmosphere so damn awkwardddddddd 😆
*BONUS#2: This is the relationship chart of this drama 👇🏻*

Each character were unique. I enjoy on how there is no 'bad' or 'evil' characters in this drama. Everyone had a role to play, and unfortunately in life, sometimes decision made may not favor everyone but that does not make them bad or evil. Every decision made has their own respective reasoning behind it.
There were a lot of self-reflection moments for me about reality throughout the drama. Some are which I have mentioned above, and some are more like personal realization. It is a drama that I would say is worth the watch.
If you got this far, please leave me a comment because I want to appreciate you and give you my heart for reading up till this point hahahaha 💖💖
See you soon!
